Erase the Emotional Footprints of your past

A Special Message from Nancy…

This is an impassioned plea directly to your heart from my heart. On behalf of emotional health for you, your family, our community and our world. My fingers are crossed that you have willingness to listen today.

Twenty-five years ago this year, my ‘perfect looking’ life fell apart.  I lost my career, I lost my partner of twenty years and I lost my health.  I came very very close to ending my life. I am not alone in this experience.

The only reason I didn’t was that I had a young baby – and I believed whole-heartedly that he deserved a chance to grow up with his mother.  So, I fought my way step by step to feeling better, thinking more clearly and eventually to creating a life filled with more emotional freedom than I had ever imagined.  I am grateful to every single person who motivated and inspired me to keep going during those dark and painful days. And to every person today who allows me to motivate and inspire them during their difficult times.

What I learned over those years comes down to two things; the critical importance of the ability to emotionally regulate and the absolutely essential role of quality relationships to human well-being.  I discovered that the nature of our emotional experiences in relationships before the age of around 12 is the prime determinate of adult health and success. And I discovered, as is often quoted, “It’s never too late to have a happy childhood.”

I became a student of how adverse events change the developing brain and the most effective strategies to change it back, regardless of how old we are.

My mission became to offer others opportunities to learn about emotions and relationships and resiliency.  Not just the facts, but the chance to experience practical ‘how to’ strategies to resolve the tyranny of our pasts.

How do we lower the risks of our children experiencing adverse experiences and how do we provide the emotional safety for them to grow into healthy, joyful and creative adults?

How do we go beyond talking about empowerment and actually ‘do empowerment’ so that when adverse experiences happen they can bounce back without the ill effects predicted by this frightening ACEs pyramid?

How do we resolve the effects that our own pasts are having on us today so that we can end our suffering and create our dreams?

And how do we create families and schools and institutions that capably integrate emotional success into their agendas?

All of this is the reason behind NeftTI’s sponsorship of the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) live event on July 16th in Markham, Ontario.
An opportunity for you, and those you invite, to join with other caring adults in an experiential learning process about what ACE’s are, how to identify their impact and to take home proven practical strategies to foster resilient children, adults and institutions capable of creative problem solving around the tough issues our world faces today.

It is NeftTI’s honour to offer this transformational community day at the low cost $25 (plus hst).  I really hope you will take advantage of this offer – and bring a partner, friend or colleague.  No EFT experience is required and all over the age of 18 are welcome. (details are below)

Let’s make a difference together. Thanks for listening!
