One of the qualities I continue to appreciate about EFT Tapping, and more specifically, Conscious EFT™, is how beautifully it integrates with other healing modalities. Over the past two decades, I’ve found that combining Conscious EFT™ with meditation amplifies the benefits of both, helping clients (and myself) access greater ease, presence, and peace.
Both practices share a common intention: to experience the present moment with less resistance and more openness, regardless of what’s happening around us. In Conscious EFT™, we do this by creating safety in the nervous system. In meditation, we invite awareness and acceptance of “what is.” Together, they create a synergistic relationship that helps us soften control, release reactivity, and expand our capacity for calm.
“Even though (insert any issue, person, event) I love and accept myself regardless.”
This simple yet profound stance is at the heart of Conscious EFT™ , and it mirrors the mindful acceptance cultivated in meditation.
When practiced consistently, both approaches increase emotional flexibility, nervous system regulation, and resilience. Situations or people that once felt triggering begin to feel more manageable. The nervous system learns that it can return to safety more quickly, and the mind follows with clarity and perspective.
When clients pair a meditation practice with Conscious EFT™, something remarkable happens. They begin to move more easily toward self-understanding, self-trust, and self-acceptance. They know their needs more clearly, express them more confidently, and make decisions from grounded awareness rather than reaction.
Sessions also tend to move more fluidly. Clients become more comfortable exploring specific memories or patterns because their nervous systems have already experienced what regulation feels like. They’re able to stay present with discomfort, knowing they have the tools to return to balance.
How I Integrate Conscious EFT™ and Meditation
Early in my journey, I treated meditation and EFT as two separate practices: meditation in the morning, tapping in the evening. Over time, they naturally began to weave together.
Here are a few ways I now integrate them:
- Tapping before meditation — to release surface tension and settle the body, allowing for a deeper meditative state.
- Meditating before tapping — to notice what arises, then using tapping to gently meet and process what surfaces.
- Blending both in the moment — beginning in quiet meditation, then shifting into tapping when sensations or thoughts need gentle attention.
Sometimes I even incorporate tapping into existing meditative phrases, such as the Prayer of Love, Peace, and Light.
LOVE is before me; LOVE is behind me; LOVE is at my left; LOVE is at my right; LOVE is above me; LOVE is below me; LOVE is unto me; LOVE is in my surroundings; LOVE to all.
Breathe gently and then repeat the sequence using PEACE in place of LOVE and then a final round using LIGHT as your focus.
I encourage you to experiment using other words that hold value for you, perhaps FREEDOM, JOY, TOGETHERNESS, CALM.
Each mindful tap is an act of returning home to yourself: regulating your body, quieting your mind, and expanding your heart.
Bringing It All Together
Meditation teaches awareness. Conscious EFT™ teaches regulation. Together, they support transformation — not by escaping what is, but by meeting it fully and compassionately.
These are simple tools, yet their combined power can change lives. Whether you’re a practitioner, a healer, or simply walking your own path of self-discovery, this integration offers a way to live with more grace, clarity, and grounded peace.
May you find your rhythm in this dance between stillness and movement ; tapping and breathing your way toward a more connected, conscious life.
With warmth,
Nancy
