As we step into 2026, I’ve been reflecting on how much has changed in the world of EFT and how much hasn’t.
Back in 2015, I remember feeling like a lone voice in the wilderness, trying to help people understand the personal and professional power of EFT. Today, Conscious EFT™ and other energy-based approaches are expanding rapidly into coaching, mental health, education, and corporate well-being. We’re watching a global nervous-system awakening unfold—and it fills me with such gratitude.
At NeftTI, our commitment remains the same: to train, mentor, and certify helping professionals to the highest ethical and professional standards so they can safely bring this work into a world that desperately needs regulated, trauma-informed emotional support.
As I remember it, Solomon and I ushered in the new year quietly, just the way he liked it. His picture from that night still makes me smile; he had very clear feelings about New Year’s hoopla.
But now, I want to speak honestly about something I see in myself and in so many others this time of year.
Despite our best intentions, the New Year tends to activate old patterns:
• striving
• self-pressure
• unrealistic expectations
• “New Year, new me” perfectionism
Even those of us who have been tapping for decades, like me, can still default to stress-activation instead of self-connection.
If any of these feel familiar, you’re not alone:
- Feeling behind before the year even begins
• Anxiety about repeating last year’s struggles
• Overwhelm around goals and direction
• Pressure to “fix” everything at once
• A sense of not being where you “should” be
These internal signals are simply the nervous system asking for regulation, safety, and a gentle pause instead of more pushing.
This is where Conscious EFT™ becomes such a trusted companion.
2026 is the year I recommit not to doing more, but to using tapping to interrupt my stress response in the moment, and to illuminate the next aligned step without forcing it.
That’s what I was reminded of years ago, and it’s even more true now:
We clear the old stories, traumas, and fears not to relive the past, but to enliven the present.
So if you’re new to EFT or Conscious EFT™, or if you’ve been away from it for a while, here is a gentle tapping sequence to help you begin your year regulated, grounded, and open to possibility.
New Year 2026 Conscious EFT™ Tapping
Karate Chop (KC):
Even though it’s the start of a new year and I’m not yet who I intend to be, I deeply and completely accept myself today.
Even though it hasn’t always been easy to accept myself as I am right now, this year I choose to grow my capacity for self-acceptance.
And even though some parts of my life are still unfolding, I choose to meet this new year with compassion, curiosity, and a regulated nervous system.
Eyebrow (EB): It’s a brand new year.
Side of Eye (SE): And I have many feelings about that.
Under Eye (UE): Part of me is excited about what’s possible.
Under Nose (UN): And part of me is afraid things won’t really change.
Chin (CH): What if I could stay connected to where I’m going?
Collarbone (CB): What if I could gently clear the old patterns as they arise?
Under Arm (UA): I know that’s possible. I know how to use Conscious EFT™ to support me.
Top of Head (TH): I choose to do that kindly, consistently, and all year long.
