There are moments in this work, this beautiful, heart-led field of Conscious EFT™, when I feel the world is allowing something new to land. And today, I’m so happy to share two lovely happenings with you.
After more than 30 years of practice, research, and passionate advocacy, EFT is taking a powerful next step to finally being seen and celebrated for what so many of us have always known it to be: a gentle, powerful, body-centered and energy-based path to healing and empowerment.
Suddenly, it’s everywhere.
🌍 First, EFT Goes to Medical School
In May 2025, a historic step unfolded in Senegal, West Africa: for the very first time, EFT was formally integrated into a Master’s program in psychotherapy, inside a faculty of medicine at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar.
This moment is more than symbolic. It’s the beginning of a new chapter where tapping is no longer seen as fringe or “alternative,” but embraced as an essential part of mental health care.
And here’s what I love most: it’s happening in a place where the body has always been central to the healing journey. As one of the visionary professors involved put it, “In Senegal, people live and feel through the body. Tapping helps them reconnect with their sensations and naturally regulate their distress.”
Simple. Safe. Empowering.
EFT is being taught to psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists and many of them are already sharing it in their communities. And this is just the beginning for this program. There are plans to bring it into rural villages, train nurses and community leaders, and embed it into public health care.
A heartfelt thank you to the visionary leaders and tireless advocates who have made this possible; faculty members, clinicians, trainers and researchers who held the vision long before it was popular. This milestone is a direct result of their dedication, courage, and deep belief in healing that honors both body and culture.
Africa isn’t catching up—it’s leading!
🌟 And Then… Oprah
In a recent feature, tapping was showcased alongside healing leaders like Dr. Gabor Maté and Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. For many readers, this was their very first introduction to EFT. I’m grateful that Oprah is willing to use her significant influence to introduce her readers to EFT.
We’re seeing something truly magical: from university lecture halls in Senegal to the pages of Oprah’s world, EFT is being recognized as a deeply relevant, culturally resonant, and scalable healing modality.
It’s time.
💞 Why This Matters So Deeply
When I first began using Energy Psychology decades ago, it was seen as unconventional. And now, here we are—welcoming this wave of recognition that has been so long in the making.
Why does this matter?
- Because it means more people will get access to safe, effective healing tools.
- Because it affirms what we’ve known in our bones: healing doesn’t have to be hard, clinical, or cold.
- Because it opens doors for those who’ve never felt like traditional therapy was for them.
- And because this momentum can ripple outward into the hands and hearts of the world.
At NeftTi, we’ve always believed in the potential of Energy Psychology to create real, lasting change—both personally and professionally. And Conscious EFT™ is our modality of choice: a trauma-aware, spiritually grounded, and biologically respectful evolution of EFT that honours each client’s readiness, rhythm, and resilience.
✨ Here’s How You Can Spread the Healing
If you’ve felt the impact of Conscious EFT™—in your life, your clients’ lives, or even just in your nervous system during a tough day—now is a beautiful time to share it.
Invite colleagues, family or friends to dip their toes into the waters of Conscious EFT, starting with our free 5-part Conscious EFT™ 101 video series that explores our unique, trauma-informed approach to EFT.
Together, our small actions ripple out.
And right now, those ripples are becoming waves.
From my heart to yours,
