If nothing changed in your life or business over the next 5 years, would that be okay with you?

@crgleaderWednesday morning at Cannexus 15 I attended the ‘mega-session’ presented by Ken Keis. Ken is the President and CEO of Consulting Resource Group International. CRG’s mission is to assist individuals, families, teams and organizations to realize their potential and purpose and enrich their lives in all areas.

His talk was called ‘Dying to Live: Breakthrough Stress and Health Practices’. He started with a powerful question, ‘If nothing changed in your life or business over the next 5 years, would that be okay with you?’

Two of the stats he shared have stayed with me.

  • First, the percentage of young people ages 18-24 who report being stressed is 90%!
  • Second, the percentage of people in North America who are obese is now greater than 75%.

He attributes this to a ‘perfect storm’ – a decrease in the quality of nutrition, a decrease in the amount of movement and the inability to manage emotional stress.

Ken spoke a little about Bruce Lipton’s work and the impact of our thoughts on our wellness. I spoke to Ken briefly after his presentation about Emotional Freedom Techniques. He described himself as a huge proponent of these techniques and is constantly amazed at what EFT can accomplish.

He believes that EFT is scientifically pushing the boundaries of emotional wellness. I agree!
