Successimonial: It has been a wild ride…

marykay“It has been a wild ride” is an understatement from the time I met Nancy and took the “Harness the Power” program. Signing up for this program was one of the smartest impulsive decisions I made. Nancy has an undeniable excellent teaching style and organizes her programs with the upmost emotional safety in mind for her students. She uniquely provides opportunities for one to do their own deep personal work and as a result make immense shifts, all in a community of very caring like-minded souls. If you are questioning taking the program, stop and sign up. It is a high quality professional, yet caring program.

After “harness” and therapy using EFT and advanced EFT tools, I made peace with my past that I never thought was possible. Yoga and mindfulness helped, but it was the EFT that made the profound difference.

Comments I hear now over and over again are: “Wow Mary Kay, you’re so calm”. I do feel a sense of calm most of the time. And now I can’t pretend I don’t know what I know. I have such a passion to share and plant seeds of EFT with colleagues, clients and frankly, EVERYONE!

I’ve worked in the front lines of health care for over 25 years as a Speech Language Pathologist in a variety of settings including, children’s rehab, hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and First Nation Reserves. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients/patients from minus 0 days old to 95+ years. I know first hand the immense stressors of being in the front lines in health care and regulations by the government.

It is a desire of mine to assist those in the front lines with their work stress.

As well, I currently am specializing in feeding and swallowing issues and “picky/problem” eaters. I see mom’s in such stress/crisis because they can’t feed their child for medical reasons, or their child has food aversions/phobias. In those moments, I just want to tell them, there’s hope. I always think…”let’s tap on this. Why not? Let’s just see what will happen?” However, this is not always possible, in the settings where I work.

Again, I can’t pretend I don’t know what I don’t know. I’ve seen 5 and 6 yr olds going from crawling under tables, rolling on the floor, etc unable to sit a table, to sitting and doing work for up to an hour, just by tapping a few rounds with the moms (not even the children). Their mothers were all amazed that how tapping a few short rounds made them feel “calm”. I feel it is hugely important to give mother’s ways to calm as I DO feel it impacts their children. I see it everyday in my “day job” and personally with my own children as well.

I am running EFT groups in my local community, hoping to plant the seeds of EFT to anyone who will listen. I have a few joint ventures emerging. I am beginning to narrow my focus to mothers with children who have challenges (from ADHD, to feeding challenges, etc), and therapist/nurses working in the front lines of health care, as these are the areas I feel I know profoundly. When working with clients/ or running groups I draw on my years of knowledge as a healthcare worker, over 20 years of practicing and teaching yoga/mindfulness/ spirituality/ and EFT.

I just want people to know that it is possible to find peace in the chaos. It is possible to overcome personal trauma. It is possible live in a state of calm. ANYthing is possible. This makes life super exciting.
